The Hills are Covered in Sunflowers!

Double Circle Ranch is pure gold this year. We have fields of sunflowers stretching as far as you can see. Golden eye fills in the ground around the tall sunflowers with more shining gold flowers. It is a sight to see. We always have some golden eye and sunflowers, but they seem to run in cycles. This year we have hit the “pot of gold” for sure. It’s absolutely gorgeous!

Wow, my wife, our college age daughter and I just made a trip to eagle creek area 09/05… sun flowers every where. I grew up in west central arizona (Wickenburg, Prescott) and have never been to this area till now. I was very impressed despite the long winding road from Springerville. What a great area you have. I now live in Joseph City and am looking for a winter camping area and we think we found it!!!!

  • Doug,

We do have the luck to live in a gorgeous area– and we love it here. Eagle Creek is a hidden gem– glad you guys found it in 2005. It is still the same–actually hasn’t changed much in 100 years. So come back and visit again. You won’t be sorry– It is well worth the scenic drive to get here. If you come in the winter, be sure and check the road conditions. We may have snow instead of sunflowers.
