Wilderness Survival Class for Women

Wild Women in the Wilderness have all the outdoor safety and survival skills they need.

Due to the change in ownership of the Double Circle Ranch we are currently not offering programs, vacation packages, internships, and ranch-hand positions. We ask for your patience as we undertake the huge job of restocking the ranch with quality Brangus to maximum levels. Our intent is to offer programs and job positions in the future but cannot at this moment in time. When we are ready to do so we will make an announcement on the website. Thank you.

Wild Women in the Wilderness – Surviving on Your Own in the Great Outdoors

Ever wish you could strike out for parts unknown, explore remote mountains, or experience the magical
wildness of nature… but didn’t quite dare? We can teach you the skills and help you develop the self
confidence to safely start your adventures. Imagine, mastering your outdoor explorer skills in a safe and
patient environment on a remote 37,000 acre ranch in the mountains of southeastern Arizona!

This Double Circle Ranch Wilderness Survival class is for female participants only. (Please note that your
instructors may include both men and women.) Come join up to 7 other adventure minded women for a
5 day wild experience May 9-13, 2012. Brush up on your outdoor skills- and learn some new ones here
at the Double Circle Longhorns,LLC. Build confidence while experiencing the remote beauty of SE
Arizona in the company of other women. Make new friends while learning how to be safe in the
wilderness.

Topics include:

Primitive shelter building
Hunting with snares and deadfalls
Fire building
Outdoor cooking
Wilderness horsemanship
Packing on mules and horses
Harnessing and driving teams
Basic map reading and orienting
Gun safety – Bring your own guns and improve your shooting, learn how to clean and care for your weapons. Shooting practice is optional for all you non-gun ladies

Price

Price is $1500.00 and includes double occupancy in our wall tents with private baths, 3 meals daily, and
all instruction. We do have a minimum age of 15 for this week and minors must be accompanied by an
adult. Bring three friends and schedule a Wild Women in the Wilderness for your group only. See you at the

Wild Women in the Wilderness

You will spend five days at the ranch with 6-8 like-minded women, learning all the skills you need to safely and confidently explore the woods and trails.

You will spend five days at the ranch with up to seven like-minded women, learning all the skills you need to safely and confidently explore the woods and trails.
