Horseback Riding

Horseback Riders Taking a Break

Taking a Break on a Horseback Riding Vacation

Double Circle Ranch has some of the best horseback riding in the country. I generally am riding with a specific goal in mind – checking fence or herding Texas Longhorn cattle, but this is a prime area for plain ol’ trail riding too.

The Double Circle is in the Apache-Sitgreaves forest – over 2 million acres of wild beauty with almost 1000 miles of trail systems. The country goes from rolling hills and level riparian corridors to high country ponderosa pine country with panoramic views. This ranch goes from 4500 feet to 7500 feet elevation and offers the best of both worlds. We have owned the Double Circle for 6 years, and I haven’t ridden the whole ranch still – and I ride almost every day. Not many parts of this country have so much open space and room to explore on horseback.

Come on out and ride with us. We can do all-day or half-day trips. Your party would be our only guests – so you get to choose if you want challenging or easy country to ride. You choose if you want to ride out and gather longhorns, ride a maintained trail, or cut cross country on the Double Circle. We tailor your ride to your desires. We can ride likely spots for elk, antelope, deer, and other critters. We can guide you to old historic sites. Photographers will enjoy riding to overlooks – you can see range after range of mountains and canyons. Any ride here at Double Circle Ranch will be on good, surefooted horses. Plus it will be beautiful – this whole ranch is pristine and wild, full of wildlife including the Mexican Gray Wolf and mountain lions, and a world away from crowds and towns. A horseback ride on Double Circle Ranch is an experience to remember. Nothing in the world beats riding out in the wild country on a good horse – come see for yourself!

We offer several different options for your horseback riding adventure. You can ride by the day or half day, or enjoy a horseback riding vacation for a few days.
