In June 2007, wildlife biologist and expert birder Robert Luce conducted a formal survey of the birds that can be found on the Double Circle Ranch. Recognizing that itinerant migrants may pass through in certain years, bird populations shift, and rare birds may have been overlooked, we believe this list is both accurate and fairly complete.
The list includes 137 species of birds, some of which are rare or unique enough to be of interest to everyone from beginning to advanced birders.
