We have set our 2012 cattle drive dates. Our Spring cattle drive will be April 30th to May 5th. The cattle will be moved to a pasture with good spring annuals that need to be utilized the [...] Erosion Control Workshop Group Photo October 2011 October’s erosion control workshop was a big success – again. It is amazing how much 30 sets of hands can accomplish with a good instructor’s guidance. This time we repaired a breached dirt tank by constructing multiple Zuni bowls separated by rock laydowns. Plus we worked on the [...] Erosion Contol Workshop Outdoor Classroom Hey – we have a few openings still for the October 14, 15, 16 Erosion Control Workshop. It is a great deal – free instruction by Craig Sponholtz of Dryland Solutions, Inc., free camping and free food. We have a good time and get a lot of useful work done [...] Fixing Ranch Fence For Antelope We have had the best weekend. The Arizona Antelope Foundation came to the Double Circle Ranch and replaced bottom strands of barb wire with smooth wire on some of our pastures that have lots of antelope traffic. The Arizona Game and Fish Department provided smooth wire, a 4 wheeler, and [...] Double Circle Ranch is happy to have the Arizona Antelope Foundation working on a habitat improvement project fixing barbed-wire [...] We have put in over 120 one rock and other small rock structures designed to slow water so it can infiltrate the soil.
