What to Bring on Your Custom Ranch Vacation

Leave your electrical gadgets at home, but don't forget your sunscreen

Leave your electrical gadgets at home, but don't forget your sunscreen

The Double Circle Ranch is very remote, and there are no conventional utilities out here. No electricity except what our solar panels generate, no telephone, no cell phone tower, no easy access to a grocery or drugstore… It’s wonderful! But you want to be sure you pack everything you might need, because it’s a very long drive to town to replace something you forgot. Leave your electrical gadgets and cell phones at home. They won’t work out here.

Weather

The weather here at the ranch can be extreme. Daytime temperatures often approach triple digits in the sun, and then plummet into the lower 40s at night, even in the summer. A sudden rainstorm can blow in and drop the temperature twenty degrees in ten minutes. Be prepared for a little of everything, because that’s usually about what we get out here!
