Here on Eagle Creek we can see smoke and fire plumes, but nothing on the creek itself. We did get an email from some friends on the Blue. People in [...] Missing Texas Longhorn Steer June 21 I hope I didn’t jinx us on Wallow fire. We went from no smoke to lots of smoke and a big smoke plume not far from the NE part of the Double Circle. The fire reports say crews are trying to keep the flames east of 191. [...] Today is the first day that we haven’t seen either fire or smoke or both from the Wallow Fire. [...] Eagle Creek watershed is mostly intact – so far. Only the upper reaches have had the Wallow fire on them. Even so we will be impacted. [...] Monsoon Rain Needed to Quench Wallow Fire The Wallow fire is partially under control and already the Forest Service and other agencies are preparing for the next disaster – massive floods.
